MMICA is an initiative across multiple faculties based in the Office of the DVC-Academic, Prof Vivienne Lawack. By migration and mobilities we refer to the contemporary and historical movement of people on various scales around the globe, as well as to the circulation of ideas, objects, and capital that often accompanies this mobility.
Overall MMICA aims to:
-
Conduct and collaborate on new research in migration and mobilities.
-
Promote and support a new generation of academics and researchers in the area of migration and mobilities through capacity building, teaching and learning.
