On Tuesday, December 12th, 2023, MMICA and Soli*City hosted a session with Prof Harald Bauder on the “Urban Sanctuary, Migrant Solidarity and Hospitality in Global Perspective” (Soli*City) project. The discussion focused on international research partnerships and networks in urban migration and refugee protection, as well on how research can be policy relevant and academically impactful. The session emerges out of a new MoU between Toronto Metropolitan University and UWC to collaborate on project-based research activities, organisation of joint events, and academic staff mobility.
